The team of Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 had dropped the announcement about the first single from the film, Aga Naga, last evening on their social media handle. Along with the announcement, the makers shared a poster of Karthi as Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan and Trisha as Ilaiya Piratti Kundavai, who feature in the song.

In the poster, a beautiful Kundavai looking all regal is seen with a sword, while Vanthiyathevan is seen blindfolded with his knees bent in front of the Chola princess. It is to be noted that Aga Naga played in the background during the meeting of Kundavai and Vanthiyathevan in the first part. The fact that the song has got an extended version, has come as a huge excitement for fans of the franchise. The song is sung by Shakthishree Gopalan and has lyrics by Ilango Krishnan and will be out on March 20.

Fans are going gaga over the poster and some of them have gone on to call it the best poster ever. One of the users had written, "What a Poetic & Asthetic Poster Iconic Proposal Scene Song of #Vanthiyathevan and #Kundavai from Iconic Love Scene Director #ManiRatnam along with his magician #ARRahman what else we need can't wait for #AgaNaga Mar 20|6pm (sic)."

Another user wrote, "Aga Naga is a fullllll song starting ae best aa iruke!! And look at this poster. Just wowwwwww! @trishtrashers #PonniyinSelvan2 (sic)."

She added that she loved the scene and that's her clear favourite among her filmmaker husband's films.

The magnum opus stars Vikram as Aditha Karikalan, Jayam Ravi as Arunmozhivarman and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandini Devi, the Queen of Pazhuvoor. Music for the film is by AR Rahman. While Ravi Varman has handled the cinematography, editing is by Sreekar Prasad and art direction is by Thotta Tharani. The film is jointly bankrolled by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
