The Road is written and directed by Arun Vaseegaran and is said to be a revenge thriller
South Queen Trisha is ringing in her 40th birthday and has taken the spiritual route to mark the occasion. The actress dropped pictures of herself from Shirdi, in which she is seen posing in front of Sai Baba idol. Trisha's mother Uma Krishnan and Trisha's friends seem to have accompanied her on the trip. The actress also shared a picture in which she is seen blowing her birthday cake. She captioned the picture, "Thank you all for the overwhelming love and wishes My hearts bursting with so much gratitude…#Shirdi (sic)."
In the meantime, the makers of her upcoming film, The Road, shared a making video from the film. Going by the short video, it looks like Trisha's character gets stuck somewhere in the middle of journey. The actress is seen amid a banana plantation looking for someone. We also see a car being toppled by another on the road.
It looks like The Road will be quite an action-packed film, just like its tagline, 'Revenge in 462 kms'. The Road is directed by Arun Vaseegaran. Music for the film is by Sam CS. The star cast includes Dancing Rose Shabeer Kallarakkal, Santhosh Prathap and Mia George.
The team of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Leo, too, dropped a picture of the actress with Thalapathy Vijay on the sets from the film. The picture instantly set the internet on fire and fans called it an 'evergreen' pair. The team is currently busy with the shoot of the Chennai schedule. Trisha, who was until now busy with the promotions of her Mani Ratnam magnum opus, is all set to join the sets at the earliest.
Leo is one of the most-awaited films of the year and it is to be noted that during the promotions of Ponniyin Selvan 2, Trisha was asked about Leo update.
