The makers of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan dropped a sneak peek of the first single from the song, Aga Naga, which is all set to release tomorrow. The 34-second video shows a glimpse of Karthi and Trisha's characters, the Chola spy and commander Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan and Ilaiya Piratti Kundavai. The video also gives a prelude to the audio of the single.

Taking to their social media handle, the makers wrote, "Into the world of music and love! Here's a glimpse of @Karthi_Offl & @trishtrashers in #AgaNaga #RuaaRuaa #Aganandhe #Akamalar #Kirunage. Full song releasing tomorrow, at 6 PM. #PS2 #ManiRatnam @arrahman @madrastalkies_ @LycaProductions @Tipsofficial @IMAX @primevideoIN (sic)."

The single is sung by Shakthishree Gopalan with lyrics by Ilango Krishnan. In the first instalment of the series, the makers had used the song in the background during the scenes between Kundavai and Vanthiyathevan and it had won the hearts of many. So, the move to turn it into a full-fledged song in the second instalment has come as a pleasant surprise to many.

With just almost a month for the film's release (April 28), the makers have begun the promotions in full swing. They had earlier dropped the making of the many looks of Kundavai, followed by the announcement of Aga Naga. Yesterday, the team revealed the making of Vanthiyathevan.

The film stars Vikram, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi and Jayam Ravi in the lead along with an ensemble supporting cast which includes Prakash Raj, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayachitra, Parthiban, Sarathkumar, Ashwin Kakumanu, Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Lal to name a few. Music for the film is by AR Rahman, editing by A Sreekar Prasad, cinematography by Ravi Varman and art direction by Thotta Tharani. The magnum opus is jointly bankrolled by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. The digital rights of the film have been acquired by Prime Video.
