Trisha's last outing Raangi, which hit screens in December, is all set to have its digital premiere. We hear that the action thriller is all set to drop on Netflix on January 29. The film, directed by M Saravanan, has Trisha playing a journalist named Thaiyal Nayagi, who never refrains from questioning the right from wrong. When she discovers that a teenage terrorist from Tunisia has been interacting with her 16-year-old niece's fake account, her life takes a completely different turn, putting the lives of her niece herself in danger. Raangi's star cast includes Anaswara Rajan, Bekzod Abdumalikov, Lizzie Antony, John Mahendran, Gopi Kannadasan and Waqar Khan as part of the star cast. The film opened to mixed reviews with Trisha gaining appreciation for her performance.

The South Queen is awaiting the release of the second instalment of Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, which is all set to drop on April 28. The makers have already shared a glimpse of the film. The film has Vikram playing Aditha Karikalan, Trisha as Kundavai, Jayam Ravi as Arulmozhi Varman, the three children of reigning Chola king Sundara Chola (Prakash Raj). While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays the Queen of Pazhuvoor Nandini Devi, Karthi plays the Chola commander Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan.

Meanwhile, Trisha is also said to be playing the leading lady in Thalapathy67, which stars Vijay in the lead and is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is said to be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe and Vijay is sporting a beard for his character. Sanjay Dutt is playing the lead antagonist in it. Trisha had earlier stated during the promotions of Raangi that she was looking forward to working with Vijay after more than a decade, though she refrained from sharing any details about the film or her presence in it. Trisha is likely to play the lead in Kamal Haasan's next with Mani Ratnam as well, which is being referred to as KH234.
