With Radhe Shyam’s much awaited release only days away, the excitement of the fans is at its highest. Pooja Hegde, the movie’s female lead, has now opened up about the impact the period romantic drama has had on her.
Talking about the movie to Times of India, the actor said, “You will realise that I grew up in the process of making this film. In these four years, the experience of going from one project to another and handling a layered character like Prerna helped me mature as an artist and as a person.”
The actor also said that there are moments in the movie where her evolution is evident and that she is excited to show it to the world. The actor started working on the project with Prabhas in 2018, and it has taken four years for the movie to come out.
Hegde also talked about working in various industries, saying that she wanted to be an Indian actress who is not identified or restricted to cinema of any one language. She also added that she works where the context excites her rather than the language.
Written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the period romantic drama also stars Bhagyashree, Krishnam Raju, Jagapathi Babu, Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi and Kunaal Roy Kapur among others in supporting roles.
