Pop Kaun: Farhad Samji gears up to bring one-of-a-kind comedy series on Disney+ Hotstar

Farhad Samji is all set for his special upcoming venture named Pop Kaun. The filmmaker is set to serve as a director for this one-of-a-kind comedy series, which is going to be an OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. 

Samji is popular for bringing multiple kinds of comedy films to the silver screen including Housefull 4 and Bachchhan Paandey, which are completely different from each other even being from the same genre. 

Pop Kaun is going to be the ultimate dose of entertainment, which is set to bring together the stalwarts of comedy, who are going to be in a laughter riot filled with confusion, chaos and madness. 

The OTT giant released an announcement video to inform comedy fans and movie buffs about the upcoming venture. Disney+ Hotstar dropped the video on their YouTube channel with a special caption that reads, "A laugh riot you cannot afford to miss - #HotstarSpecials #PopKaun coming soon. (sic)."

Backed by Yam Productions, the comedy series of the year promises to bring together the best in comedy for a riotous, entertaining watch by featuring a legendary cast and side-splitting humour.

Along with directing films like Housefull 4 and Bachchhan Paandey, the famous movie-maker has been credited as a dialogue writer in many Hindi movies such as Chennai Express, Entertainment, Dilwale, Housefull 3, Judwaa 2, Golmaal Again and Simmba.

Currently, Samji is gearing up for his highly anticipated directorial Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan starring Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde. The upcoming family-drama movie, which also has Venketesh, Jagapathi Babu, Jassie Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Bhumika Chawla, Bhagyashree, Aasif Sheikh, Shehnaaz Gill, Abhimanyu Singh, Vijender Singh, Abdu Rozik, Malvika Sharma, Palak Tiwari and Amrita Puri along with Ram Charan in a cameo appearance, is slated to release on April 21.
