Popular production house to revive Krishna Vamsi's dream project

Maverick director Krishna Vamsi needs no introduction as he has made some memorable films in his two decade long career. But in the last few years, he has slowed down and did not do a single project. He is now ready with his new film Rangamarthanda which has Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishna in lead roles.

On the other hand, Krishna Vamsi always said in all his interviews that he wants to do a film called Annam which is based on the farmers in the state. He also met the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Balakrishna for the same but the project never took off due to budget constraints and also no producer found it commercially viable.

Now, the news is that noted producers, Mythri Movie Makers are ready to invest in the film. But the catch here is that Ranga Marthanda needs to click at the box office. If the film flops, the makers will not show much of an interest say the sources close to the director. Annam has been a dream project for Krishna Vamsi and it will be great to see the film taking some shape in the days to come.

Meanwhile, Rangamarthanda is up for a release on the 22nd of this month and the makers are airing special shows for the media and industry folks on a daily basis in Hyderabad. All those who have seen the film are loving it and are in awe of the performances in the film. This has given the makers a new ray of hope all over.
