Por, the recently released Tamil film starring actors Arjun Das and Kalidas Jayaram in the lead roles, is now available for streaming on Netflix. The streaming giant announced this on social media on Friday. The film will be available in Tamil with English subtitles.
Por is directed by filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar and was released in theatres earlier this month. The film was simultaneously made in Hindi as Dange, with Harshvardhan Rane and Ehan Bhat playing the lead roles.

Tamil film Por is now available for streaming on Netflix. The film is directed by Bejoy Nambiar and released in theatres on March 1. It marks the filmmaker’s return to theatres since the release of the 2017 film Solo. However, it is still not clear when the Hindi version titled Dange will eb availalbe to stream.
Starring Kalidas Jayaram and Arjun Das in the lead roles, Por is campus action drama that touches upon various topics, including student politics, casteism, bullying, queerness, mental health, childhood trauma, and male ego. The film also features Sanchana Natarajan and TJ Bhanu as the female leads. Bhushan Kumar's T-Series banner, which backed Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal, has backed the film along with Bejoy Nambiar, Prabhu Antony, and Madhu Alexander.
Por reception
Por opened to mixed reviews. OTTplay gave the film a 2.5 rating, with the criticism, “The aesthetics, characters and world-building look fine, but the momentum of the film gets lost when they never get translated. The psyche of the male ego and the fleshed-out addressal of pressing issues are not explored enough. But on the flip side, the actors who bring these characters to screen try to give them an edge.”
The technical crew of Por includes Priyank Prem Kumar handling the edits, with the screenplay penned by Bejoy along with Mithila Hegde, Francis Thomas, and Neil Julian Balthazar. The film was shot by cinematographers Jimshi Khalid and Presley Oscar D'Sounza.
