Porattu Nadakam, the Malayalam satirical drama film which features Saiju Kurup in the lead role, had its theatrical release in October 2024. The Naushad Saffron directorial, which was released without massive pre-release hype, had an underwhelming at the box office. As per the latest updates, Porattu Nadakam, which earned mixed reviews from audiences and critics, has finally had its OTT release today (November 30, 2024), on Amazon Prime Video.
The Malayalam satirical comedy film, which is presented by late senior filmmaker Siddique, and directed by Naushad Saffron, is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Porattu Nadakam, which features Saiju Kurup as the central character Abu, is now streaming on the popular OTT platform only in the Malayalam language with subtitles. The makers of the satirical comedy reportedly have no plans to release the film in other languages, yet.

The Noushad Saffron directorial is set in the backdrop of a fictional village named Gopalapuram, in the Malabar region of Kerala. Porattu Nadakam revolves around Abu, a struggling communist party member. The protagonist, who is facing foreclosure after he fails to repay a loan, seeks help from his party. But he is abandoned by the party, which prompts his friends to assist him. This expands into a chaotic web of religious and political manipulation, which further complicates Abu’s situation.
Saiju Kurup appears as the central character Abu in Porattu Nadakam, while the rest of the cast includes Ramesh Pisharody, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Arjun Vijay, Rahul Madhav, Sunil Sukhada, Sibi Thomas, Sooraj Thelakkadu, Shukoor Vakeel, Chitra Shenoy, Geethi Sangeetha, Aishwarya Mithun Koroth, Babu Annur, Jijina Radhakrishna, Chitra Nair, Sumayya and others in supporting roles. Rahul Raj composed the songs and the original score. Noushad Shereef is the director of photography. Rajesh Rajendrann handled the editing.
