Post Animal success, Rashmika Mandanna gets in competition with Alia Bhatt-Deepika Padukone to become top Bollywood actress

Rashmika Mandanna might essentially be a Kannada actress but she is now making headlines in Bollywood too. This is thanks to her stint in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. Rashmika played the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s wife in the movie and even though the focus shifted from her after the movie’s release in theatres, there’s more than what meets the eye. Rashmika is now competing with the likes of Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone to become a top Bollywood actress. The same is according to a list revealed by Ormax Media for the month of December.

Top three

This one is an easy guess. Based on their success in films alone, you can understand that Alia Bhatt, as always is the top Bollywood actress. She has been giving hits non-stop even in the post-COVID times. In fact, with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi, she helped Bollywood revive itself. Thus, her getting the top spot comes as no surprise. Similarly, Deepika Padukone making it as the second most loved Bollywood actress isn’t surprising either. Katrina Kaif, soon to be seen in Merry Christmas opposite Vijay Sethupathi, is third on the list.

Kiara Advani back in competition

Kiara Advani is back at competing with Katrina, neck-to-neck. This month, she ranks fourth, right after Katrina. Kiara beat Kriti Sanon, who is at the fifth spot. Kiara was last seen in SatyaPrem Ki Katha opposite Kartik Aaryan and the duo will return for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 next.

Where did Rashmika rank?

Rashmika was among the bottom five. She ranked seventh on the list. Although she would usually be considered among the Kannada actresses, this month, Rashmika is seen as a Bollywood actress thanks to Animal.

Shraddha Kapoor, last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar opposite Ranbir Kapoor, just missed the top five mark. She ranked sixth. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anushka Sharma made it to the eighth, ninth and 10th spot respectively. Kareena will next be seen in Singham Again while Anushka’s next film is Chakda Xpress, based on female cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
