POSTPONED: Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dinon now to release on THIS date

The Anurag Basu directed ‘Metro... In Dino’ happens to be a spin-off to the 2007 movie ‘Life In… Metro’, which was also directed by Basu. The film ‘Metro…In Dinon’ stars an ensemble cast of Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The film was initially scheduled to be released theatrically on December 8, 2023.

The makers of the film, a few weeks back had taken to social media to announce the release date of the film as December 8, 2023. The makers had posted the film’s poster with the caption “We are Thrilled to announce that #MetroInDino, the modern day people's tale by ace director Anurag Basu complimented with Pritam da's music is all set for release on 8th December 2023!” The latest update on the film is that, the makers of the film have now rescheduled the film’s release to March 29, 2024, which happens to be a Good Friday.

For the unversed, the title of the film ‘Metro... In Dino’ is a reference to the popular song ‘In Dino’ from the film ‘Life in… Metro’. In a media statement earlier Anurag Basu had said that the film ‘Metro…In Dinon’ happened to be a tale of the people and for the people and that the film will be a heart-warming and bittersweet story about love and relationships. He added that it had been a while since he was working on this film and that he was glad to be collaborating with a powerhouse like Bhushan Kumar yet again who had always been like a pillar to him.

Speaking about the film’s storyline, Anurag Basu had said that it was very fresh and relevant as he looked forward to collaborating with amazing artists who bring that essence of contemporary aura with them.
