Prabhas not a part of Mission Impossible 7, confirms director Christopher McQuarrie

Prabhas recently grabbed a lot of eyeballs after speculations of him having bagged a role in Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 started doing the rounds on social media. However, it so happens that there’s no truth to the rumours.

Director Christopher McQuarrie, who entered the franchise with 2015’s Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, confirmed the same stating that he has never even met Prabhas.

Putting an end to the speculations, he tweeted, “While he's a very talented man, we've never met. Welcome to the internet.”

Several reports had earlier suggested that Christopher met Prabhas in Italy and discussed the project. Fans started speculating that the meeting took place while Prabhas was shooting for his upcoming film Radhe Shyam there.

For the uninitiated, Mission: Impossible has been renewed for the seventh and eight instalments. Christopher is helming both the projects.

Mission: Impossible 7 will also see Ving Rhames, Simong Pegg, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney, Mark Gatiss, Cary Elwes and Charles Parnell in pivotal roles. The shooting for the film resumed in September 2020.

Mission: Impossible 6 aka Mission: Impossible - Fallout had released in 2018 and became an instant hit among the moviegoing audiences.
