Prabhas on Adipurush: It’s not just a film, I can’t make a mistake

It's one thing to play a mythical, mightier-than-thou hero in the Baahubali franchise, but it's quite another to play Lord Ram on screen. During a recent interaction, Prabhas revealed that when he agreed to star in Om Raut's Ramayana adaptation, Adipurush, he understood it would be a huge undertaking. The South Star claims he was hesitant to take on the role at first.

To mid-day, Prabhas said that at first, the plan was to depict it as a parallel universe, but that was all right with him. Raut, on the other hand, changed his mind. That's when the actor thought to himself if he can do this. The Saaho star then told the filmmaker that he was afraid, but that it was fine if he made a mistake in Baahubali. He can't make a mistake here as it's more than simply a movie. It's a significant event not only for Prabhas but for everyone involved. The actor admitted that he had never been more terrified of a film.

When asked what gave Prabhas the confidence to play the famous character in the film, the actor praised his unwavering faith in the filmmaker. The Telugu star is worried, but he knows he has a trustworthy director who knows what he's doing. Prabhas added that they have put their heart and soul into Adipurush.

A hero can only be as good as his antagonist. Khan's Lankesh provided a worthy opponent for Prabhas' Adipurush. His co-star has made a mark on him, as the South Star describes him as a spontaneous performer and very amusing. Prabhas revealed that he used to believe that after a shoot, actors went to their vanity trailers, but Khan and Amitabh Bachchan stayed on set. The Hum Tum actor remained behind to see the lights.
