Telugu superstar Prabhas is set to rock the global box office with his highly anticipated film Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. The pre-release excitement is palpable, evident in its worldwide advance ticket sales, which have already soared past the $2 million mark in international territories, setting the stage for a record-breaking opening this Friday.
With three more days to go for its theatrical debut, Salaar could see significant growth in advance bookings. The film is also doing brilliant business domestically. According to reports, the film has already earned more than Rs 6 crore from its advance ticket sales in India alone. All signs point towards Salaar achieving a worldwide collection of over Rs 100 crore upon its release.
Even Prabhas previous film, his most controversial and critical disaster, Adipurush raked in about Rs 140 crore from its worldwide ticket sales. By the end of its opening weekend, the movie managed to collect more than Rs 300 crore, recovering a healthy part of its budget, which is estimated to be nearly Rs 500 crore. Adipurush's performance at the box office was a testament to Prabhas' undying appeal among the masses. If Salaar manages to garner critical acclaim, then Prabhas' stardom could help the film to earn over Rs 1000 crore in ticket sales.
Salaar has also created quite an anticipation among fans across India as it's written and directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame.
In Salaar, Prabhas takes on the mightiest villains of a fictional state called Khansaar in the service of his best friend. Besides Prabhas, the film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, and Ramachandra Raj.
