Prabhat Roy returns home after spending two weeks in a hospital

Legendary film director Prabhat Roy returned home after staying at the hospital for two weeks. He was admitted to Bangur Hospital. A few days ago, he caught a cold and had a fever. Then he had a breathing problem and finally got admitted to the hospital. There was fluid congestion in his chest, chest infection, and a rise in creatinine. After some initial tests, dialysis started. 

The news of Prabhat Roy's return to home was shared by his autobiography’s co-writer and popular campaign drawing artist Ekta Bhattacharya. She said, “He is much better now. He initially did not want to have dialysis. The process will continue. He now understood that he had to keep well. He now wants to spend time with his daughter. I am also waiting for the good time.”

After his wife passed away, Prabhat Roy became lonely. Ekta then took the responsibility of taking care of him. He calls the director his father. Prabhat also sees her as his daughter. 

Prabhat Roy's illness was disclosed after he spent some days in the hospital. Ekta said, “Babi requested not to reveal his illness. His autobiography will be released soon. We did not change the date. I ask everyone to pray for his speedy recovery.”

Last year also, Prabhat had to be admitted due to high blood pressure. Premendu Bikash Chaki and Haranath Chakraborty took the responsibility of treatment at that time. Prabhat was discharged after staying at the hospital for one and a half weeks.
