For filmmaker Pradeep K Sastry, Bengaluru is more than just a home. The city, he says, is an embodiment of a peculiar kind of energy, of a never-say-die attitude, and of caring and nurturing motherhood. All this and a lot more is part of the ethos of Sastry's directorial debut Made in Bengaluru, a bustling drama about the ebbs and flows and the victories and the heartbreaks encountered by a young man who sets out on bringing his enterprising start-up idea to life.
To give us a more defined peek into this setting, team Made in Bengaluru has unveiled the first trailer of the film. The 3-minute 18-second-long video captures the gist of a rivetting story, which is centred on the many struggles of an average joe as he goes about launching his IT start-up in Bengaluru. Along the way, he meets angel investors, gangsters, dream killers, romantics, nay-sayers, and the whole gamut of vibrant characters.
"Made in Bengaluru, at its heart, is an urban adventure. Adventure because the path to succeed in the city brims with challenges and that too of all kinds. Bengaluru is a lovely place in that it will never hang you out to dry in terms of food, shelter, or opportunity but when it comes to proving yourself, the journey is riddled with problems. Our film is an ode to that vibrancy and the energy it carries - a story that's born out of Bengaluru and about Bengaluru in every sense of the word." says writer-director Pradeep K. Sastry.
Made in Bengaluru stars Madhusudhan Govind, Anant Nag, Sai Kumar, Prakash Belawadi, Puneeth Manjunath, Himanshi Varma, Archana Kottige, Manjunath Hegde, and many others. Bajarang Konatham serves as the film's cinematographer, Ashwin P Kumar as the music composer, and Shanth Kumar as the editor. The film has been produced by Balakrishna B.S.
Pradeep and his team have been striving hard to bring this unique to the big screen for over two years and are now geared up for the theatrical release of the film. Made in Bengaluru will be out in theatres on December 30, 2022.
