A whole new project featuring some of the young and popular upcoming talents from south film industry is in the making. Actor and filmmaker Pradeep Ranganathan who is basking the success of Dragon and gave industry hit Love Today, has announced a new project, confirming the latest speculations. Pradeep Ranganathan will be collaborating with prestigious production banner Mythri Movie Makers to do a film with debutant Keerthiswaran.

Pradeep Ranganathan to team up with Mamitha Baiju

After starring in films like Love Today and Dragon, Pradeep Ranganathan has announced a new film in which he will be playing the male lead. While the actor-director has earlier in an interview with us has confessed that he will be concentrating more on acting than direction for now, the new announcement was made on Tuesday. Pradeep is set to pair up with debutant filmmaker Keerthiswaran, who is a former assistant of director Sudha Kongara.

The film will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers who made Pushpa. Tentatively titled PR 04, the film will have Premalu actor Mamitha Baiju as the female lead and music sensation Sai Abhyankkar as the composer. The first glimpse will be unveiled on Wednesday. Besides Pradeep and Mamitha, the film will also feature Hridhu Haroom, Sarathkumar and others. The post theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Netflix.

Meanwhile, Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest film Dragon is available for streaming on Netflix. The film is written and directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and is the highest grossing Tamil film so far in 2025. Starring Anupama Parameswaran, Kayadu Lohar, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Harshath Khan, VJ Siddhu and others, Dragon is a commercial potboiler which opened to massive response upon its release.

Dragon is produced by AGS Entertainment and has music by Leon James. The film is essentially, a coming-of-age drama about how an obedient and studious boy changes into a brat with arrears in college. However, it is years later that he is given an ultimatum to finish his backlogs in exchange for not exposing his fraudulent ways to attain a rich lifestyle.
