It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call Pradeep Ranganathan the man of the moment. The director, who recently made his acting debut with Love Today, is currently basking in the fantastic reviews pouring in for the film. The film continues to rake in the moolah at the box office. In the meantime, the Telugu version of Love Today released yesterday and it has opened to packed theatres. The excited actor-director said that he is glad that the film worked in both languages and that the response has been overwhelming.

Love Today is a romantic comedy helmed by Pradeep, who had earlier directed Jayam Ravi's Comali. The star cast includes Ivana, Raveena Ravi, Yogi Babu, Raadika Sarathkumar and Sathyaraj. The plot revolves around a strange deal where the lead couple have to unlock the keys and exchange their cell phones with each other for a day. After the time frame, if they continue to be in love, they are allowed to go ahead with their relationship.

Music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. While the cinematography is by Dinesh Purushothaman, editing is by Pradeep Ragav. The film is bankrolled by AGS Entertainment.

Pradeep, who stated that he was indeed overwhelmed by all the fantastic response coming in for the film, penned a note on his social media handle, that read, "I am no star, I'm just one among you and the love you have showered on me is immense. I trusted you and you didn't let me down, on the other hand, you have put me on cloud nine. Trust works as I said."

He added, " I am seeing you laughing and celebrating at theatres standing at a corner, the doors near the screen, which gives me the most happiness. The happiness on your face is all that I wanted, the sound in theatres and the happy faces (sic)."
