Pradhan, the blockbuster socio-political action film, continues to amaze the audience even in its 15th week. The film completed a 100-day run at the Box Office recently. To celebrate the occasion, Bengal Talkies, Dev Entertainment Ventures, along with Mr Atanu Raychaudhuri, Pranab Kumar Guha, and superstar, Dev, today held a cake-cutting ceremony at Dakshin Kalikata Sansad Club.

The cast and crew members of the film including Dev, Paran Bandopadhyay, Soham Chakraborty, Mamata Shankar, Anirban Chakrabarti, debutante Soumitrisha, director Avijit Sen, and others were present on this evening celebrating the success of the movie.

Avijit said, “In crafting Pradhan, my aim was not just to entertain, but to offer a poignant reflection on the complexities of political administration and social justice. Working with Dev and Paran Bandopadhyay has been an incredible journey, as they flawlessly captured the essence of their demanding roles. Additionally, the captivating performances delivered by Soham and Anirban left the audience mesmerised. Through the lens of our protagonist, Deepak Pradhan, the film not only intends to highlight the thought and discussion about the challenges faced by people but also seeks to inspire audiences to reflect on the importance of integrity and courage in the face of corruption and injustice.”

Producer Atanu said, “Pradhan is very close to my heart; it is very special in the sense that this is our fourth consecutive critically and commercially successful venture with Dev. The entire star cast has put their best forward and wowed the critics and the audience alike. The screenplay is beautifully crafted; the characters are not just mere components of the storyline, they embody deep human experiences, enriching the storytelling with their journeys.”

Pradhan, which was released on December 23, 2024, revolves around Deepak Pradhan (Dev), an honest cop, who is transferred to a fictional village of Dharmapur with his wife Rumi (Soumitrisha), where he learns the history of the place and witnesses corrupt and vile practices of the local Panchayat head Jatileshwar Mukherjee (Anirban Chakraborti) with the help of another fellow police officer Bibek (Soham), and his landlord, a former headmaster of a local school Jibon Krishna Sarkar (Paran Bandyopadhyay) and Krishna's wife Shanti (Mamata Shankar). A story of human fight for love, dignity, individuality, principles, and honesty, Pradhan has Bengali sensibilities and is presented with high-octane drama; it is vastly engaging and packed with solid performance.
