In the Prakambanam climax, the youngsters seek the help of an exorcist Stanislavski (Rajesh Madhavan) who asks them to get her ashes to perform the ritual. Though the lads travel to Sidhu’s native home and scout the campus for the remaining ashes they had thrown out, they are not able to find it. They then plead with Stan to somehow perform exorcism. Stan, seeking to break all conventional rules of exorcism, makes an attempt but doesn’t find much success. He then flees for his life even as the three youths, Punyalan’s girlfriend and his parents get trapped in the haunted house and other spirits begin to torment them.
But as the clock strikes midnight, Punayalan awakens and his buddies are relieved to find their friend as a mirror check confirms that the ghost has left his body. So was it that the exorcism worked?
The movie then backtracks and shows Stan fleeing in his vehicle and he offers a ride to a goon (Sanesh Guinness). This goon is from Sidhu’s native and he had taken the ashes bottle, assuming it to be mooku podi (snuff powder), from the campus. Stan asks for a cigarette but the man hands him snuff powder instead.
In the post-credits scene, it is shown that Madhavan, who was grappling with his dominating wife, enjoying a flamboyant life in Goa. Just when he sits down, he hears his wife’s sound and turns around to see Stan, clearly possessed by the woman. The final scene shows Madhavan running for his life from his wife’s ghost, hinting that the horror tale has not ended.
Earlier, in an interview with OTTplay, Prakambanam director Vijesh Panathur had confirmed that the horror comedy would have a sequel, mounted on a bigger scale.
