Prakambanam OTT release: Starring young actors Ganapathi and Sagar Surya, the popular Malayalam horror comedy movie is set to make its online premiere on Zee5 (also OTTplay Premium) soon.

The Malayalam horror comedy Prakambanam, which got a thumbs up from the audience, is finally set to make its digital debut. Starring young actors Ganapathi and Sagar Surya, Prakambanam is set to make its online premiere on Zee5 (also OTTplay Premium) soon.

There were earlier reports that the streaming rights of Prakambanam were acquired by Zee5. Now, Zee5 has confirmed that Prakambanam will stream on the platform, but an exact release date has not been announced yet. All Zee5 movies and series will also be available for OTTplay Premium subscribers as well. Prakambanam, which released in theatres on January 30, had a successful run at the box office. Zee5 had acquired other Malayalam films such as Navya Nair’s cop drama Pathiraathri and Nellikkampoyil Night Riders that recently made their digital premieres.

The 2026 Malayalam movie Prakambanam, is directed by Vijesh Panathur. The film stars young actors Ganapathi, Sagar Surya, and Al Ameen in the lead roles of laidback college youths. However, their carefree lives take a shocking turn when one of them is possessed by the spirit of a grandmother. The film then depicts the hilarious incidents that follow. The film opened to mixed reviews from critics but wooed the public audiences with its mindless fun narrative and performances. If you like fun films with spooky horror elements, then Prakambanam is unlikely to disappoint you.

Senior actress Mallika Sukumaran plays the grandmother role along with Azees Nedumangad, and Rajesh Madhavan. The film also features late actor Kalabhavan Navas, who passed away during the filming of Prakambanam.
On the other hand, Zee5 is gearing up for the release of a Malayalam web series, Kasaragod Embassy, on March 20. The upcoming series features Abu Salim Kabir Duhan Singh, Sudheesh, Deepak Parambol, Rony David, and Dinesh Prabhakar.
