Prakambanam teaser: Ganapathi-starrer looks more like 'Adi Kapyare Kootamani' with a bit of 'Romancham' vibe

The teaser for the upcoming Malayalam movie, Prakambanam, has been released. It offers a glimpse into the movie's plot and the primary characters played by Ameen, Sagar Surya, and Ganapathi.

The one-minute video depicts Sagar Surya's character going insane due to what appears to be a ghost haunting or possessing him in his college dorm. His pals and the other hostel residents seem scared and are frantically trying to figure out whether or not there is a spirit. Glimpses of the ensuing turmoil are then shown in the teaser. It definitely reminds one of the horror comedy Adi Kapyare Kootamani, starring Dhyan Sreenivasan, which takes place in a dorm. 

In the meantime, posters indicated that the ghost was probably summoned when some of the major characters played Ouija Board, which is somewhat reminiscent of the storyline of Romancham by Soubin Shahir. Overall, Prakambanam is a full-fledged, entertaining movie that will soon be released on the big screen.

Prakambanam - Cast & crew details

Mallika Sukumaran, P P Kunjikrishnan, and Azeez Nedumangad all had important roles in the film. A further significant role in the movie was played by Kalabhavan Navaz, who died in August of the previous year. The female leads are played by Sheetal Joseph, Gayathri Satheesh, and Anagha Ajith. 

This film is directed by Vijesh Panathur, best known for his earlier work in Nadhikalil Sundari Yamuna. The story was written by the director, and the script as well as the dialogues were written by debutante, Sreehari Vadakkan. Renowned Tamil director Karthik Subbaraj is also supporting this horror comedy.

Sagar Surya became well-known for playing an antagonist in Joju George's directorial, Pani. Prior to his film debut, he participated in Bigg Boss Malayalam 5 and had a few television appearances. Alappuzha Gymkhana, a sports drama directed by Khalid Rahman and starring Naslen, was Ganapathi's most recent release. You may watch both of these flicks on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium.
