Prakambanam trailer: This Ganapathi film is another Malayalam horror comedy that is set in a college hostel

The trailer for the upcoming Malayalam movie, Prakambanam, has been released today (January 25) ahead of its theatrical debut. It provides a peek into the main characters portrayed by Ameen, Sagar Surya, and Ganapathi as well as the funny but frenetic plot of the film.

What does Prakambanam trailer show?

The two-minute video shows a group of men who seem to be debating whether Sagar Surya's character needs psychological treatment because of his abruptly strange behaviour. In the meantime, this college kid seems to be losing his mind as a result of what seems to be a spirit controlling or haunting him in his dorm. His friends and the other hostel guests appear frightened and are desperately attempting to determine whether or not there is a spirit and how to get rid of it.

Sheethal Joseph, who plays his girlfriend, becomes sceptical of these occurrences and is caught up in the tumultuous events that take place within the men's hostel. The trailer then shows glimpses of the impending chaos. It undoubtedly brings to mind the Malayalam horror comedy Adi Kapyare Kootamani, which is also set in a college mens' hostel.

What are Prakambanam release date and cast details?

On January 30, this horror comedy will be released in cinemas. Valathu Vasathe Kallan, a Jeethu Joseph thriller starring Biju Menon and Joju George, will hit the big screen with this movie. Meanwhile, the release date of Bhavana and Rahman's film Anomie, which was originally scheduled for January 30, has been pushed back by one week to February 6. 

Vijesh Panathur, who previously directed Dhyan Sreenivasan's Nadikalil Sundari Yamuna alongside Unni Vellora, is the director of Prakambanam. Alongside seasoned actors Azeez Nedumangad, P P Kunjikrishnan, and Mallika Sukumaran, the film also features late actor Kalabhavan Navaz, Gayathri Satheesh, and Anagha Ajith. The director created the story, and debutante Sreehari Vadakkan wrote the screenplay and dialogues.
