Kannada actor Pramod had a career high in 2021, when his role in KRG Studios’ debut production Rathnan Prapancha, in which he played Udal Babu Rao, was widely appreciated as one of the standout performances of the film. The actor, who had a good outing prior to that with Premiere Padmini, was then besieged with a plethora of offers in a variety of genres, some of which took off, while others didn’t. His releases since Rathnan Prapancha – Bond Ravi and English Manja – did not give him the fillip he was looking for, which he is hoping to rectify with his upcoming projects.
The actor, who bagged a pivotal role in Prashant Neel’s Prabhas-starrer Salaar, has a film called Bhuvananam Gaganam that he is quite excited about and today, he announced the start of a new project with the makers of Premier Padmini. “We had earlier planned to do the sequel of Premier Padmini, but then director Ramesh Indira had another script ready, which is a much bigger project. For me as a solo hero, this will be my biggest to date,” Pramod said about the as-yet-untitled film that had a muhurtha earlier today.
Bhuvanam Gaganam, meanwhile, will be Pramod’s next in Kannada. “I play the lead in the film; the story revolves around me and what happens when I meet the character played by Pruthvi Ambaar,” he says. As for Salaar, the actor is supremely thrilled about the opportunity, which he says will most definitely give him national recognition. Contractually bound to not divulge details about his role in the Prabhas-starrer, Pramod had said that most of his scenes are with the Telugu superstar and Mollywood star Prithviraj.
