Prappeda (Hawk's Muffin) received accolades for its engaging plot and deep political and historical undertones after making its festival debut. Since the film was never released in theatres, moviegoers eagerly anticipated its digital release. Additionally, the science fiction drama can be seen on the Kerala government's C Space OTT.

The film revolves around Ruby, who takes care of her paralysed mother in a greenhouse that belongs to her great-grandfather and is situated in a somewhat dystopian future. Their lives are under the control of Ruby's abusive stepfather, a former hunter who used to work for her grandfather. A pastor oversees their existence in addition. When two unanticipated outsiders—a police officer and a mysterious person—arrive, tensions rise and secrets are revealed. A sequence of odd and magical events connected to the curse of a small turtle led to a conflict between destruction and harmony on the disputed territory.

The film's makers have skilfully blended a novel narrative style with themes of the system of capitalism, eco-fascism, love, and war. The visual approach further enhances Prappeda's cinematic experience. This movie has fewer conversations overall, but it still has life because of the strong performances. The director stated in an interview with The Indian Express that some parts are treated musically, while other parts are influenced by art house film.

Important parts in this movie are portrayed by Ketaki Narayan, Neena Kurup, Rajesh Madhavan, Mano Jose, Jayanarayanan Thulasidas, and Nithin George. Jayanarayan Thulasi Das has provided the funding for the film. Prappeda's original score and soundtracks were composed by Bijibal Maniyil.
