The team of Manu Ravichandran’s upcoming release, Prarambha, released a new song from the film today. Called Hode Nee Hode, the song, composed by Prajwal Pai and sung by Sanjith Hegde is about all that guys tend to do after a break up – drink and smoke – and serves as a reminder that this is not the best course of action. The song has Manu drinking and smoking like there is no tomorrow after his relationship fails.

In the run up to the film’s release, Manu had said that the main reason why he decided to be a part of Manu Kalyadi’s directorial was because it highlighted the fact that there is life after a love failure. “Often, youngsters think that the break-up of a love relationship is the end of the world and take extreme measures, including suicide or substance abuse. Prarambha is a film that exhorts that there’s life after a love failure too and reminds us that when we take drastic, irreversible decisions, we tend to forget everyone else in our lives, be it the parents who brought us up, siblings and friends who love us and so on and so forth. Don’t we owe it to them to move on in our lives and find a better tomorrow? All these elements in the narrative pushed me to take up this film,” Manu had said.

In the film, the actor is paired with newbie Keerthy Kalakeri. Produced by Jagadeesh Kalyadi for Jenushree Tanusha Productions, Prarambha is Manu’s fourth film in the lead, after Saheba, Brihaspati and Mugilpete. Manu Kalyadi has been credited with the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film.

Manu, who was last seen in Mugilpete, is yet to announce his next. However, the actor is currently sporting a long beard, which is believed to be in preparation for a new role. Sources suggest that an official announcement will happen either for his father V Ravichandran’s birthday on May 30, or after his brother Vikram Ravichandran’s debut, Trivikrama’s release on June 24.
