Many viewers expected to see Ketan Parekh’s story after Harshad Mehta’s, especially considering that Ketan trained under Harshad himself. However, Ketan’s scam took place from 1990 to 2000. Thus, the possibility of this show being about him is very meagre.
While announcing the sequel, Sony LIV also hinted that there could be many more shows around scams over the years. It even looked into the future years, which hints that they hope this franchise grows stronger with every new installment.
Scam 1992 was helmed by Hansal Mehta, who had directed some powerful movies like Shahid and Aligarh. Back then, nobody thought that the show would become such a huge hit but considering how powerful the story itself is, paired with dialogues like ‘Risk Hai Toh Ishq Hai,’ Scam became unstoppable.
Whether Hansal will come back for Scam 2003 is still not clear. No additional details, including the cast or crew, were revealed through the video. However, various reports state that the shooting for this show has begun.
The story continues with Maharashtra. This time, the story moves from Mumbai to Nashik. Whether the makers will extend the franchise to cover scams all across India remains to be seen. No further details on this show are out yet but stay tuned to know more.
