Prem on his OTT debut with Commando: I feel I am very fortunate | Exclusive

In 2013, Vidyut Jammwal played the title character in the film "Commando: A One Man Army," which launched the "Commando" franchise. The series has gained popularity among fans of the action genre over time. Now Vipul Amrutlal Shah is bringing in the Commando franchise on Disney Plus Hotstar which will see Adah Sharma and debutant Prem.

Prem recently spoke with OTTplay how fortunate he feels to be making his debut on an OTT platform at a time when OTT platforms are booming. He said: "I feel very very fortunate. Not just because it’s on an OTT platform but also because with my debut, I get to work with Vipul sir and I get to be the new Commando. Jab ki main sapna yehi dekh raha tha bachpan se since I was 11 years old. All my life what I wanted to do was to become an actor. But even when someone like me with middle class household and no connection in the film industry at all cannot dream a debut this big."

Talking about the show, the series will tell the story of the titular character's journey as well as tales of bravery, patriotism, and high-octane action. Amit Sial, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mukesh Chhabra, Ishteyak Khan, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Shreya Singh Chaudhry, and Amit Tatwawadi also appear. 

Commando is produced and created by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and produced by Sunshine Pictures, is scheduled to debut on Disney+ Hotstar on August 11. The action-thriller, which also stars Prem as Commando, also features Adah Sharma and Vaibhav Tatwawadi.
