RRR has made India proud as the song Naatu Naatu has won the best original song at the Oscar awards 2023. Composer MM Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose went and collected their awards as Rajamouli and his family cheered them from the crowds. But the unsung hero of the song is choreographer Prem Rakshit. It is because of his composition that the song has gone so far in the global arena.

Speaking about this historic moment, Prem Rakshit says "I am super happy that my hard work has got the ultimate recognition on the world stage". Adding further he says that working on Naatu Naatu was a very nerve-wracking experience and he has never spent so much time on any song in his entire career of 70 odd films".

Prem Rakshith has come up the hard way in his career. From being a background dancer in Tamil and Telugu films, he worked hard to become a choreographer in Telugu cinema. He has composed songs for NTR and made it big with the NTR film Yamadonga where he composed a solid dance number that also showed the dancing prowess of NTR.

Prem Rakshit is a very simple man and does not like the limelight. He is always away from social media and believes in working nonstop. Prem Rakshit says that way the foreign media has pushed this song to become a favorite is also one of the reasons for the award. Last but not the least, he thanked Rajamouli for his vision and trusting him to compose Naatu Naatu which will be his most cherished moment.
