After four theatrical releases - Michael, Rangamarthanda, Vimanam and Peddha Kapu 1, Anasuya Bharadwaj will be seen in a direct-to-digital film Prema Vimanam next. The Santosh Kata directorial is gearing up for its OTT premiere via ZEE5 on October 13. At a special screening organised by the makers, the Pushpa 2 actress expressed her happiness on being part of the film.

“There’s no nervousness for Prema Vimanam. The director Santosh Kata was always quite assured about what he was making. Be it him or the Abhishek Pictures production team, I was always received quite well on the sets. I thank the team for choosing me to play Santha, the mother to two beautiful kids (played by Anirudh Nama and Devansh Nama),” Anasuya said.

While watching Prema Vimanam with a select audience in Hyderabad, the actress says she fell in love with cinema all over again. “Even after doing so many films, I could experience the power of the medium today. It has come out exactly the way I visualised.” She had heard the script during the lockdown in 2020 and fell in love with it immediately.

Anasuya shared that in most films she has been offered, more often than not, there’s little connection between the script and the execution. “Sometimes, it’s for the better, sometimes, it’s the other way round. With Prema Vimanam, I am thrilled that nothing about it has changed.” Prema Vimanam was shot across 12 villages. “In the company of kids, it felt like family and I enjoyed the process.”

Sangeeth Shobhan, Saanve Megghana, Vennela Kishore play other crucial roles in the film bankrolled by Abhishek Nama under Abhishek Pictures. Anup Rubens scored the music and Jagadeesh Cheekati is the cinematographer. Amar Reddy Kudumula is the editor. Two songs from the web film - Ajanaka Bajanaka and Dorasani - have been launched already.
