Premalu was a smash hit at the box office in Malayalam cinema. Seeing the craze, the romantic comedy was dubbed in Telugu by SS Rajamouli's son, SS Karthikyea. He promoted the film so well that Premalu made Rs 17 crore share in Telugu states, which is quite impressive and one of the highest collections for a Malayalam dubbed film.

We at OTTplay have already reported that Aha has bagged the Telugu OTT rights to the film for a fancy price. The latest update is that Aha will stream Premalu from April 12, 2024. This is also the same day the Malayalam and Tamil versions will start streaming. However, the Malayalam and Tamil versions will stream on Disney+ Hotstar.

SS Karthikeya released Premlu in Telugu states
SS Karthikeya had a limited release for Premalu in Telugu states. Once the positive talk spread, he brought Rajamouli to the pre-release event of the film in Hyderabad. This event gave Premalu a solid push at the box office. Also, the Telugu audience went gaga over the female lead, Mamitha Baiju, and this also put Premalu in the news.
