Dhruva Sarja and director Prem's maiden collaboration KD - The Devil is among the most anticipated films and the reasons are quite obvious. For starters, the film is touted to be the most expensive Kannada film to date with the producers, reportedly, leaving no stone unturned in recreating a certain time period. To make things better, the high-octane action saga will feature the Action Prince as a dreaded gangster and going by the title teaser that was released a few weeks ago, it's arguably his most menacing role on-screen to date. The story of KD is set between 1968 and 1978 to make this Prem's maiden period venture as a director.
And if that wasn't enough, Bollywood Khalnayak Sanjay Dutt will play a pivotal role in KD, a bona fide pan-Indian venture that is slated to release in five different languages.
Dutt, as it turns out, won't be the only former superstar to join the cast of KD as Sandalwood's own Crazy Star now comes on board. Veteran actor V. Ravichandran has been roped in by Prem & Co. to play an integral part of Annayyappa in the film and the team took to social media a short while ago, on January 1st, to unveil his rather alluring look in the film.
Ravichandran can be seen dressed in snazzy retro bell bottoms, leather boots, a pair of sunglasses, and a long mane to complete the look. Seated in a swanky vintage car, the 61-year-old actor looks dashing as ever.
The Tamil teaser of KD features the voiceover of Vijay Sethupathi with Mohanlal lending his voice for the Malayalam version and Sanjay Dutt doing so for the Hindi teaser. The music of the film will be composed by Arjun Janya with William David of Vikrant Rona fame handling the cinematography. KD is a KVN Productions venture.
