Prime Video unveils new lineup – From Gulkanda Tales to The Revolutionaries, here are upcoming original series

On Tuesday, the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video unveiled a star-studded lineup for the coming years with an impressive collection of web series and movies. During the mega event ‘Prime Video Presents India,’ the streamer announced big-budget original projects that will soon be dropping on the platform in multiple languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and others. 

Several actors graced their presence at the event to promote their new projects and share insights about their roles. While Ananya Panday attended the Prime event for her OTT web series debut, Call Me Bae, Varun Dhawan was seen promoting the Indian version of Priyanka Chopra's Citadel, titled Citadel: Honey Bunny. Here are some new series that you should look forward to for an exhilarating ride of entertainment.

The Great Indian Code

TVF (The Viral Fever) is leading The Great Indian Code with director Deepak Kumar Mishra and writer Shubham Sharma. The Great Indian Code is an enchanting web series that explores technological advancement in the 70s-90s era from the eyes of middle-class heroes. This tale of visionary middle-class engineers seems like a promising series to witness the booms in the IT industry against the odds.

Gulkanda Tales

Rahi Anil Barve’s directorial venture – Gulkanda Tales follows the delightful satire of the fictional Gulkanda kingdom with unusual events.

The stellar cast features Pankaj Tripathi, Kunal Kemmu, and Patralekhaa in lead roles for this comedy series. Gulkanda Tales is written by Mitesh Shah, Raj and DK, and Rahi Anil Barve.

In Transit

'In Transit' is an upcoming Hindi documentary series that delves into the lives of several trans and non-binary individuals. It follows their challenges as they navigate love, identity, and the boundaries of gender against societal stereotypes. Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti have collaborated with director Ayesha Sood as creative producers.

The Revolutionaries

Created by Nikkhil Advani – The Revolutionaries narrates the inspiring tale of brave young Indian freedom fighters who fought for ending British Raj with their unwavering spirit and ideology. This webseries is an adaptation of Sanjeev Sanyal’s book ‘The Revolutionaries’ and is produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani.

Meanwhile, the highly popular web series Mirzapur, The Family Man, and Panchayat will also be returning for their third installment very soon on the platform.
