Prince and Family, Dileep's most recent film, was released on May 9 and is getting rave feedback from viewers. Binto Stephen, who has marked his directorial debut with this movie, is also getting a lot of credit for effectively bringing back the C.I.D. Moosa star in a part that Malayalis have always loved watching him play. Binto talked about his filmmaking journey in an interview with OTTplay, and how Dileep was the ideal actor to portray Prince Chakkalakkal.

Binto made it clear that his main goal, along with that of Sharis Mohammed, who penned the screenplay, was to create a full-fledged family entertainment that people would love to see in theatres like old times. "With a straightforward and guy-next-door character set in a relatable story background, we tried to showcase Dileep's ability to draw family audiences to theatres," he said. The young filmmaker thinks that as the movie is set against a middle-class Christian household, viewers would be able to relate to the Ishtam star and the other characters' performance.

Instead of doing too many promotional events, I believe the movie would speak for itself, Binto stated. He went on to say that the rest of the cast contributed sufficiently to enhance the humorous aspects of the film. The director stated that Siddique, Johny Antony, and Bindu Panicker's ability to handle humour surpassed their expectations at times.

I have 14 years of experience in this field and have made many friends who have taught me more about filmmaking," he added.
