Malayalam's latest film, Prince and Family, made its digital debut following a successful theatrical run since May. The comedy drama, starring Dileep in the lead role, is now streaming on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium in Malayalam and Tamil. The film revolves around the life of middle-aged and unmarried Prince Chakkalakkal. Meanwhile, let's revisit and look at the movie's ending. PS: Watch out for spoilers!
As the movie comes to a close, Chinju Rani, the wife of Prince Chakkalakkal, realises her mistake in becoming fixated with her social media status. She also recognises Prince's unselfish love for her and all that she lost as she wanted to maintain her influencer status on social media.
The suicide abetment case is withdrawn when Manju Pillai's character forgives Chinju for the mistake she made. However, it is unclear to the audience whether Chinju has completely changed because she appears thrilled to get a call from the reality show's organisers. Chinju seemed thrilled to join the show with Prince, even though they are relocating to Bangalore to start again.
Prince Chakkalakkal, who is in his middle years, is the sole breadwinner for his family. However, he yearns for a life partner and struggles to find the "right" one for himself while balancing a lot of obligations. Sometimes his obsessive quest for a partner leads him into trouble. An unanticipated proposal from a young social media influencer quickly gives Prince new energy, but he has no idea that it will drastically impact both his personal and professional lives.
The main plot point of the movie is how Prince copes with his new situation and problems, which are largely associated with his wife's social media presence. In addition to Dileep, Siddique, Johny Antony, Raniya, Bindu Panicker, Manju Pillai and Dhyan Sreenivasan also had significant parts in the film, which is directed by Binto Stephen.
