The Tamil film Blue Star, which was released in theatres in January, is currently available for streaming on Prime Video. While the film got a positive reception when it hit the big screens, Blue Star has been continuing the streak with a new set of audience members lauding the film.
Actor Prithvi Pandiarajan, who played a prominent role in the film, got recognised for his talent and performance. The actor proudly presented the film to his father and penned an emotional note on the same.
Prithvi, who made his debut in 2006 with Kaivantha Kalai, has acted in over 10 films. However, the actor got a much-deserving break with Blue Star, in which he played the role of Sam, the younger brother of Ashok Selvan's character. His performance earned Prithvi recognition, with many appreciating his work.
With the film currently available to stream on Prime Video, the actor posted a photo of his father watching Blue Star on TV and penned an emotional post. Dedicating the film to his father, Prithvi wrote, “This one's for you, Dad. Seeing the joy on your face as you watch me in "Blue Star" is the greatest reward. Love you more than words can say. Blue Star now streaming on Amazon Prime.” Prithvi's father Pandiarajan is a veteran actor and filmmaker.
Starring Ashok Selvan and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in the lead roles, Blue Star is a cricket-based drama set in Arakkonam, helmed by debutant Jayakumar. Pa Ranjith-backed film also stars actors Keerthi Pandian, Prithvi, Bagavathi Perumal, Lizzie Antony, and Elango Kumaravel, among others.
The film was praised for showing a true landscape of local cricket and revolves around how the game can show the caste and class differences. Much like its theatrical release, Blue Star also won hearts of many after it debuted on the streaming platform.
