A day after asking fans to guess the trailer release date of Kuruthi, the makers have finally announced it. Along with a full-fledged poster of the film featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Murali Gopy, Roshan Mathew, Shine Tom Chacko, Srindaa, Mamukkoya and others. The poster gives a glimpse into what one can expect from the thriller film directed by Manu Warrier. The trailer will be out on Wednesday (August 4, 2021).

While sharing the poster, Prithviraj captioned it as "Everyone has a story to tell and a decision to make. Meet them in #KuruthiTrailer, out tomorrow!"

Manu is making his Malayalam movie directorial debut with Kuruthi. Earlier during an interaction with The Times of India, the filmmaker described the movie as "a socio-political thriller that has got a bit of drama, action and thrilling elements."

Warrier also revealed that although Prithviraj is the lead of the film every character has equal importance. Talking about making his Malayalam debut, the director added, "I liked the subject a lot and that’s why I got in touch with Prithvi, who was also excited after listening to the thread."

The film is penned by Anish Pallyal and is slated to stream on Amazon Prime Video from August 11, 2021.

Kuruthi is jointly produced by Prithviraj and his wife Supriya Menon under their home banner Prithviraj Productions. This is the third outing of the production house after 9 (2019) and Driving Licence (2019). 

Meanwhile, the film is the actor and filmmaker's second release on Amazon Prime Video after crime-thriller flick Cold Case which started streaming on June 30, 2021.

Talking about the other cast members, Murali Gopy's digital debut was with the film Mohanlal starrer Drishyam 2 (Amazon Prime Video) in which he played the role of Thomas Bastin IPS.

Whereas Roshan had multiple releases on OTT platforms namely Choked (Netflix) and C U Soon (Amazon Prime Video).
