Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed that he considers Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan as his "inspiration, idol." In his latest Instagram post, he shared a picture of himself sharing a moment with Aamir. Prithviraj and Aamir met at the recently-held wedding of The Walt Disney Company India and Star India President K Madhavan's son at the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur.

The wedding was a star-studded event, which was attended by the who's who of the Indian film industry. Besides Aamir and Prithviraj, the high-profile guest list included Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar and others. Earlier, Akshay had tweeted a video of himself dancing to bhangra beats with Mohanlal. "I’ll forever remember this dance with you @Mohanlal Sir. Absolutely memorable moment," Akshay captioned the video, which went viral on social media.

On the career front, Prithviraj had about six releases last year — Bro Daddy, Jana Gana Mana, Kaduva, Theerppu, Gold and Kaapa. of which Jana Gana Mana, Kaduva and Kaapa went on to become big hits at the box office. However, his highly-awaited movie Gold failed to live up to expectations. Gold marked the maiden collaboration between Prithviraj and Alphonse Puthren. The film was released to mixed reviews and tanked at the box office.

In 2023, Prithviraj is associated with some of the biggest movies from across the Indian film industry. He is playing the main antagonist in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. He is also playing a key role in director Prashanth Neel's most-awaited movie Salaar. The film starring Prabhas in the lead is expected to take a massive opening across the country on September 28. And the project is banked by Hombale Films, the makers of the KGF series. Prithviraj's ambitious survival drama Aadujeevitham will also open in cinemas this year.
