Prithviraj Sukumaran: I always say that Baahubali taught us to dream and KGF taught us to believe in the dream

The highly awaited trailer for K.G.F Chapter 2 was released today in a star studded event at Bangalore. It was hosted by Karan Johar. The Malayalam version of the trailer was launched by Prithviraj Sukumaran, who will present the upcoming film in the Kerala market through Prithviraj Productions. The actor spoke a few words about the film during the event.

Calling it a ‘privilege’ to be able to present the film in Kerala, the actor spoke about the impact the film would have on Indian cinema.

“KGF and Baahubali represent much more than pieces of cinema. I always say that Baahubali 1 and 2 taught us to dream, and KGF 1 and 2 taught us to believe in the dream. What Prashant and Hombale achieved will be seen in its true magnitude maybe 10-15 years down the line. I’ve been lucky to have conversations with Hombale and Prashant regarding their vision for cinema. And I can tell you that KGF and KGF 2 is just the beginning of a great journey," Prithviraj said at the event.

"Down the line somewhere in time, if all the industries of our country eventually amalgamate into what we all hope will be one big Indian film industry, I can assure you that SS Rajamouli and Prashant Neel will be two distinct chapters,” he said.

The actor also gushed about Yash as Rocky Bhai saying, “Yash, Rocky Bhai might not like violence, but you do make it look bloody cool. Really looking forward to seeing some of it on screen.”

K.G.F Chapter 2 will be released in theatres on April 14.
