Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran is on the brink of completing two decades in the industry this month. The actor, who has been a formidable force in the industry in the past decade, recently opened up in an interactive session with audience during the success celebration of Kaduva, organised by a radio channel in Thiruvananthapuram.

Answering a fan’s query about who he would have been if not for an actor, Prithviraj said, “During my school years because I was good at debates and elocutions, a lot of my relatives would say that I should try for civil service when I grew up. Lucky for the country, I didn't.”

The actor clarified that he wasn’t meant for pursuing a career that required a regimented life. “I can't do a 9-5 job. But by no means am I considering that inferior. I believe you need to have huge focus to have that lifetyle - to work for an instutition for an extended time period. There are a people in my family who had served as a bank manager for 30 years and then retired. I am a huge admirer of such people. But I don't have that focus. I am someone who likes constant changes in life,” he said.

Further on the career he would have picked, the actor said, “When I chose my career, there's wasn't this choice - but I would probably have been a travel vlogger. I enjoy unpredictability and that's one of the biggest reasons I enjoy cinema.”

Prithviraj, who has had back-to-back hits with Jana Gana Mana and Kaduva this year, was last seen in Rathish Ambat’s Theerppu that released in theatres in the last week of August. His next big release is Alphonse Puthren’s Gold, which will release worldwide on September 15 or 16 and has an ensemble cast featuring Nayanthara, Ajmal Ameer, Roshan Mathew and Chemban Vinod Jose.
