Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran had recently said that he is set to be part of a pan-Indian film. According to the latest reports, the movie could be KGF director Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, which has Prabhas in the lead.

The Mollywood star had last year joined hands with KGF 2 and Salaar’s producers Hombale Films to distribute the Yash-starrer in Malayalam. Latest reports suggest that Prashanth and Prithviraj have already had a round of discussion. The actor, however, we hear is yet to confirm the movie due to his other commitments.

Salaar, which began filming earlier this year, is an action-thriller that is shot simultaneously in Kannada and Telugu, and will be dubbed in other languages including Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil. The movie also has Jagapathi Babu and Shruti Haasan.

Of late, several Malayalam actors have been offered big roles in Telugu movies. Fahadh Faasil has completed his portions for Allu Arjun’s upcoming release Pushpa: The Rise, which also has Rashmika Mandanna. Dulquer Salmaan and Jayaram are part of Hanu Raghavapudi’s trilingual and Shankar’s Ram Charan-starrer, respectively. Meanwhile, Unni Mukundan, who plays a pivotal role in Ravi Teja’s Khiladi will be teaming up again with its director Ramesh Varma for an action-entertainer in his first outing as a hero in Telugu.

Prithviraj, meanwhile, will complete the shoot of Dijo Jose Antony’s Jana Gana Mana next. He is scheduled to resume the shooting of Blessy’s Aadujeevitham in Algeria from the beginning of next year. He is also part of Guppy and Ambili director John Paul George’s film. His upcoming releases include Theerpu and Bro Daddy, both of which are rumoured to be direct-to-OTT releases much like the actor’s previous movies such as Kuruthi, Cold Case and Bhramam this year.
