Scripted by Murali Gopi and backed by Aashirvad Cinemas, Empuraan will be shot in six other countries apart from India.

Mohanlal's next release is Rajinikanth’s Tamil film Jailer. Helmed by Nelson, Mohanlal's look in the film has already gone viral. Jailer is slated to hit theatres on August 10.
