The makers of director Blessy’s much-anticipated movie Aadujeevitham has reportedly zeroed in on a theatrical release date for the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer, which is based on Benyamin’s eponymous novel.

Blessy has been working on the film for the best part of the previous two decades, trying to make it the way he had conceived it in mind. The shoot of the movie had started a year before the pandemic and the team had shot most of Aadujeevitham in Jordan and Algeria the previous year.

In an earlier interview, Prithviraj, who plays the film’s lead character Najeeb, had said, “We originally wanted Aadujeevitham to have its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival in 2023. I think the final submission date for that is by the end of March.”

The past few months, the team has been busy with the film’s VFX work as well as AR Rahman’s music. The composer had even visited the team in Jordan last year and had spent a few days with the cast and crew, understanding the space and exchanging suggestions with the filmmaker.

The big budget film, which will have a world premiere at a leading international film festival, will reportedly hit theatres on October 21, 2023, as per latest reports. Magic Frames, which had previously distributed Prithviraj’s Kaduva, Jana Gana Mana and Gold, will also be bringing the film to theatres worldwide.

Prithviraj had also explained that Aadujeevitham will not be an “arthouse film”. “Blessy chettan has conceived the movie in the pace of a commercial film,” he said. Apart from Prithviraj, the film also has Amala Paul and a host of foreign actors in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, the superstar is currently busy with the shoot of three big projects – KGF director Prashanth Neel’s Salaar and two Bollywood films, Bade Miyan Chotte Miyan and Sarzameen, which has Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan as part of the cast.
