Prithviraj teaser: Akshay Kumar in titular role pays tribute to Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan's heroism and his life

The teaser and the first look of Prithviraj, based on the life and heroism of the valiant and Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, are out. The film marks Yash Raj Films' first historical. The legendary warrior who fought valiantly against the cruel invader Muhammad of Ghor is played by Akshay Kumar. The actor took to his social media pages and shared the film's teaser and praised the braveheart's daredevilry.

The teaser gives a glimpse into Akshay's titular role, and along with him, we also get to see Sanjay Dutt in a fierce avatar. Meanwhile, debutante Manushi Chhillar makes for a beautiful Sanyogita in the teaser as she is seen with Akshay throughout the promo. The teaser also features Sonu Sood as Akshay's right hand and leaves an impressive mark. 

In a statement, Akshay said that the teaser of Prithviraj depicts the essence of the life of the renowned warrior Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, who had no fear.

The superstar added that this is their way of paying honour to Prithviraj's bravery and life. Akshay was awestruck by how the braveheart lived and breathed every single second of his wonderful life for his country and his principles.

Akshay called Prithviraj a legend, one of the bravest warriors, and one of the most upright rulers that our country has ever seen.

The actor hopes that Indians all throughout the world appreciate their tribute to this valiant warrior. Akshay concluded by saying that they attempted to tell Prithviraj's tale as truthfully as possible, and that the teaser is a tribute to his unrivalled bravery and courage.

Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who helmed the biggest television epic, Chanakya—based on the life and times of India's most prominent political strategist and the multiple award-winning Pinjar—is directing Prithviraj, which is produced by Yash Raj Films. 

On January 21, 2022, Prithviraj will be released worldwide.
