Chandraprakash Dwivedi has directed the film, which also stars Manushi Chhillar, Sonu Sood and Sanjay Dutt.

Prithviraj, Akshay Kumar’s highly awaited historical drama, is gearing up for release next month. The film’s trailer was launched today at an event in Mumbai, which was attended by Akshay, his co-star Manushi Chhillar and director Chandraprakash Dwivedi. At the event, Akshay talked about how he had completed shooting for the upcoming film within 42 days.
Interacting with the media at the event, Akshay revealed that he had completed filming his parts for the movie in 42 days. The actor talked about the importance of being punctual, saying that he used to come on sets at the exact required times. He also added that if the film’s production had not been stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it would have been finished earlier.
Director Chandraprakash Dwivedi talked about how one of the greatest things about Akshay was his sense of discipline. The filmmaker talked about how the actor always used to come at the exact time mentioned, and with full preparation. Additionally Akshay not only does his work, but he also supported and motivated others in doing their work as well.
Chandraprakash talked about how filmmakers had a huge responsibility when it came to working on films,and working with Akshay was very convenient because of the actor’s discipline. Seeing the actor’s dedication, the other cast and crew were also motivated to show up on time as well, added the director. Chandraprakash talked about how there were times when they started shooting at three in the morning, continuing till seven in the evening.
The filmmaker also praised Manushi Chhillar for how thorough she became with the script, saying that he wouldn't be surprised if the actress could recite her lines even then. Akshay also added that Manushi could even recite his lines as well. Because of the stars’ dedication, Chandraprakash said that he did not find it much of a challenge to get the film made.
Prithviraj will be released in cinemas on June 3.
