On the eve of Priya Mani’s birthday, a poster was released to announce a new Tamil series directed by actor-filmmaker Revathy, which will begin streaming shortly

On June 3, a day ahead of actress Priya Mani’s birthday, a new Tamil series was announced on JioHotstar. The announcement poster features Priya holding a bunch of what appear to be court documents, and flanked by two youngsters, presumably her kids, while Sampath Raj is in the background, behind bars, with the rest of the image filled up with newspaper clippings. The accompanying post reads, “One night changed everything. Her fight for family begins now.”
The show has been directed by actor-filmmaker Revathy, who makes her Tamil OTT directorial debut with it, and has Aari Arjunan also on the cast. Revathy has earlier directed films like Mitr My Friend, Phir Milenge, Kerala Café, Mumbai Cutting and Salaam Venky. The show is the Tamil adaptation of the English series, The Good wife, and is said that it will be a mix of family drama and courtroom proceedings, what with the newspaper clippings hinting at a scandal hitting the family, forcing Sampath’s incarceration. Siddharth Ramaswamy served as co-director and cinematographer on the show.
Good Wife is the latest addition to Priya’s expanding OTT portfolio, which includes the likes of Family Man, Hiss Story , Bhamakalapam and Sarvam Shakti Mayam . The actress, who was last seen in the Malayalam thriller Officer on Duty, opposite Kunchacko Boban, is, reportedly a part of Thalapathy Vijay’s last commercial film Jananayagan, which wrapped production recently. He now steps into active politics.
It has also been reported that Priya is in the biopic of Indian scientist GD Naidu, who is being played by R Madhavan. Directed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar, the film, GDN, also features Jayaram and Yogi Babu, among others. The third Season of Family Man, which pairs her with Manoj Bajpayee, is expected to release in November 2025, as revealed by the latter during the recent OTTplay Awards 2025.
