Priyamani is having a glorious second inning in films and the digital space, all thanks to her resurgence through Raj and DK's popular web show The Family Man. The National award-winning actress has channelised her popularity in the show to land impressive opportunities in projects across multiple languages and had also completed twenty years in films recently. Bhama Kalapam, to stream on aha on February 11, is her first project in the Telugu digital space. She spoke at length about the web original and her character in it, at the film's trailer launch in Hyderabad.

"It's probably for the first time in an event that so many people cheered and clapped for my presence, entry. The love makes me feel all the more special. I am not so good at giving speeches but what better platform than aha to make my Telugu digital debut (with Bhamakalapam)? I must thank Bharat Kamma and Abhimanyu for tolerating me and they were so accommodating to shoot the film amidst my tight schedule and projects in other languages. Bharat Kamma had first narrated the story to me over a Zoom call and we went on floors almost immediately," she said.

"I could give only six days for my first schedule and had to take a break over a month and a half to return again. The second one was luckily a start-to-finish schedule. It was crisp, short, sweet and smooth sailing. I never imagined that the film would have such an extensive promotional campaign. I've never played a character like Anupama before. She's close to my heart, an innocent woman with a happy-go-lucky spirit. Bhamakalapam is a situational comedy with a thriller element. We thoroughly enjoyed working on it and have prepared this wonderful dish for all of you. Let us know how you like it on February 11," Priyamani, further added.

Directed by Abhimanyu Tadimeti with Bharat Kamma as the showrunner, Bhama Kalapam is produced by SVCC Digital. The web film also stars John Vijay, Sharanya Pradeep, Shanti Rao, Pammi Sai among others.
