Priyamani will never indulge in on-screen kissing, says she is answerable to her husband

In the world of cinema, actresses often push boundaries to bring authenticity and realism to their roles. Romantic scenes, including on-screen kisses, have become a staple in films across various genres. However, talented actress Priyamani has made a bold and commendable decision. She has publicly stated that she will never engage in on-screen kissing scenes, challenging the prevailing norms of the industry.

Speaking in an interview, The Family Man actress says that she will never kiss on screen and will stick to her word until she does films in her career. “I won’t kiss onscreen. That would be a no for me. I know it’s just a role and it’s my job but on a personal note, I won’t be comfortable if I’ve to kiss another man onscreen, simply because I am answerable to my husband.” says Priyamani.

Adding further she says "I’m not comfortable with anything more than a kiss on the cheek. There were many projects that came my way that had such scenes and I told them that I’m not comfortable with it. I know that both sides of my family will watch my films and they also know that it’s my job but I don’t want them to cringe after seeing me in such a bold manner".

Priyamani married a businessman named Mustafa in the year 2017. In the past, Priyamani has done some very glamorous roles in her films but kissing is a big no says the national award-winning actress. Priyamani's decision sheds light on the importance of respecting an individual's agency and personal boundaries.

In an era where consent and boundaries are increasingly emphasized, her stance serves as a reminder that actors have the right to decide the extent to which they are comfortable portraying intimate scenes. Well, we need to see how long will she stick on her words in the days to come.
