Ajay Devgn and South actress Priyamani are all gearing up for their upcoming film - Maidaan now. Before the film releases on April 10, we got some exclusive details about the film from Priyamani and director Amit Sharma recently. Previously we informed how the director had doubts on Ajay Devgn for Syed Abdul Rahim's role in Maidaan, and how he cleared all his confusion. Today we got to hear some more facts about the Singham-actor.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Priyamani not only talked about Maidaan, but also shared her excitement of the success of Article 370, and discussed the stereotypes as a South actor. She also showered her huge respect for Shah Rukh Khan, and her experience working in Jawan (2023).

While talking about Maidaan, The Family Man-actress stated that Ajay Devgn is undoubtedly a phenomenal star. He doesn't need any special or extra dialogues, his eyes, his facial expressions, his body language, everything is enough to make a film superhit, and we absolutely agree to that! Let's just recall his latest film Shaitaan. Those who have watched, just remember his interactions with R. Madhavan. It's mind-blowing.
For the unversed, Ajay Devgn has very few dialogues in Maidaan, as previously director Amit Sharma shared that Syed Abdul Rahim used to be submissive and quiet in nature. Hence, it can be assumed that Devgn had to put all of his acting skills in creating intense expressions and body language to match with the famous football coach.

Priyamani's comparison between Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn
While comparing Ajay Devgn with Shah Rukh Khan, Priyamani shared that there is no similarity between the 2 stars. Both are absolutely different in giving expressions, and that is why both have a huge fan following. Because according to her, audiences love to watch contrasting characters.
Maidaan revolves around the life and journey of a legendary Indian football coach and manager, Syed Abdul Rahim. Popularly known as Rahim Saab, he is the architect of modern Indian football. Rahim took his last breath in 1963, after battling with cancer for several years. Apart from Ajay Devgn and Priyamani, the film also stars Gajraj Rao and Rudranil Ghosh from Bengali industry.
