Priyanka Chahar Choudhary squashes rumours of marrying Ankit Gupta - ‘April Fool's Day in March’

Remember lovebirds Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit Gupta from Bigg Boss Season 16? Earlier today, multiple reports claimed that the lovely celebrity couple is planning to get married in December this year. Reports claim that they are head over heels in love with each other and are likely to take their relationship to the next level. Reacting to the news developments that began trending in the world of the Hindi television industry, Priyanka has squashed rumours of her marrying Ankit Gupta. She gave a witty response to those believing in such reports and wondered why people are celebrating 'April Fool’s Day in March'.

Priyanka Chahar Choudhary was one of the most adored contestants on Bigg Boss Season 16. Though the trophy of the show was bagged by rapper MC Stan, she emerged as a winner in the female category on the reality show. Her popularity has been on the rise since 2022. This morning, when reports claimed that she was planning to get married soon, social media users began spreading the news like wildfire.

However, dousing the fire, Priyanka revealed in an Instagram Story that the development is not true. She said, “It is March. Par lagta hai kuch media portal ka April Fool’s Day jaldi aa gaya. (It is March. But I feel some media portals are celebrating April Fool’s Day today.)”

Ankit Gupta has not reacted to the development on his social media handles.

About the celebrity couple

Recently, at a party thrown by Bigg Boss Season 17 first runner-up Abhishek Kumar, couple Priyanka and Ankit—popularly addressed as PriyAnkit—attended the bash together by holding each other’s hands firmly. They even posed for the paps present outside the party location comfortably.

Priyanka and Ankit met each other on the sets of a daily soap, Udaariyaan (airing on TV since 2021) and have been each other’s best friends since then.
